(ECNS) -- A "Beauty trapped in time" exhibition opened in the Yunnan Provincial Museum on Sunday.
A total of 845 exhibits are on display in the two-month exhibition.
The exhibits include amber insect specimens, raw amber stones and over 400 pieces of jewelry, sculptures and decorations created by 106 contemporary Polish jewelry designers.
The exhibit Peacock eye was made of Baltic amber and woven with Chinese silk, symbolizing the cultural exchange between China and Poland.
It is the first time for such a large-scale exhibition to comprehensively introduce and display Mediterranean amber in China.
